About this plugin

Faux 3D Rig builds a spinning coin from a real orthographic projection, so the disc foreshortens and the edge silhouette follows the turn the way a solid object would — not a squashed scale-X fake. The face that turns away swaps the instant it crosses, with no fade.

Everything it makes is native and editable: shapes, groups, gradients, a real stroke for the rim ring, and keyframes you can retime by hand. The two faces are nested scenes — open one, drop your SVG in, parent it to the rig anchor, and it picks up the rotation and pivot with no keyframes of its own. Swap the artwork any time and nothing needs rewiring.

Controls for spin or tumble, camera elevation, start and end angle, duration, easing, ping-pong, thickness, colours and gradient, and the rim ring. A live preview in the panel draws with the same math the build uses, so what you scrub is what you get.

New in version 1.0.0

First release

A vector coin that spins in 3D — built as native, editable Creator layers rather than baked JSON.

What it builds A real orthographic projection. The disc foreshortens, and the edge silhouette follows the turn the way a solid object would, instead of a scale-X squash. A hard face swap. The face that turns away changes the instant it crosses, with no fade. Faces as nested scenes. Open one, drop your SVG in, parent it to the rig anchor layer, and it inherits the rotation and the pivot while keeping no keyframes of its own. Swap the artwork any time — nothing needs rewiring. Everything editable. Shapes, groups, native gradients, and a real stroke for the rim ring. Retime or restyle any of it by hand afterwards. Controls

Spin or tumble · camera elevation with front/isometric / below presets · start and end angle · duration · easing direction and strength · ping-pong · thickness · face gradient · rim ring · motion and edge accuracy.

A live preview in the panel draws with the same maths the build uses, so what you scrub is what gets made.

Notes

Building again is safe — artwork you have parented inside a face scene is left alone, so you can retune settings without losing your work.

The panel loads DM Sans from Google Fonts through Creator's own UI stylesheet. Nothing else leaves your machine, and nothing is collected.
